ok...clickbait.. but it worked.
I just wanted to post about modern smartphone temperatures for those who are maybe new, upgraded from older models or just generally worried...
I too have previously had concerns with temperatures, especially during high load, gaming, demand...I started to think it was a fault. There is a HUGE difference to 'getting warm' / 'getting hot' vs 'overheating'.
The chip absolutely gets HOT and the phones are all designed to dissipate and move that heat away from the chip to prevent throttling. The S line vapor chambers have been increasing over the years, and the S25 Ultra has the biggest yet. As this moves heat from the chip, the back of the phone WILL GET HOT as it moves heat away.
If the phone is genuinely OVERHEATING, the phone will eventually tell you and worst case, shut down. I have only ever had this happen on my S10+ during a heavy video edit!
(for reference, its the same on my iphone, this isnt a Samsung or Android thing - of course ALL processors generate heat)
Hope this gives some assurance or peace of mind....and hopefully prevent a wave of 'overheat' 'hot' posts...!!
