Hello.  I'm trying to change the default location to which the camera saves pictures.  Has anyone accomplished this with the S25 ultra?  Some of the older instructions don't seem to apply.  Thank you!

Hello 👋 and Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum.

The photo's will save in the Samsung Gallery App automatically.

And then also sync to any Online vaults that might be being based such as Onedrive,  Google Photos or Dropbox etc.

Where are you trying to save your photo's to 🤔

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Hi.

As far as I know. You can't change the default storage where the camera saves.

You can then move photos in other albums or places.

Otherwise there will be chaos. 😊

Older instructions were probably in the days when we had SD cards which are a history now.

I have a business microsoft office account - with onedrive.  On my old phone, I was able to sync photos to my business onedrive account.

If I'm remembering correctly, there is a difference in how onedrive syncs between a personal and a business account.  I think I remember I was not able to just sync the photo gallery as you would with a personal onedrive account.  I just can't seem to remember what was needed to sync to the business onedrive account.

Thanx so much!

This is a link to the same issue I'm having:  Syncing Android gallery to OneDrive work account - Microsoft Community.  The solution suggested in this forum did not work.

This MIGHT be a completely different problem.  I just set up the new phone (S25 Ultra) last night.  When I go to Onedrive>media, I can see my backed up pictures.  Last night, I could see all pictures up to December 2022.  When I swipe down to refresh the pictures, I see an error message "Refresh failed.  Make sure you're connected to a Wi-Fi or mobile network and try again."  I am connected to my home Wi-Fi and all other devices are connected.  The phone is showing full connection strength.  Currently, pictures are showing up to March 2023.  MAYBE, the sync to onedrive is working...but something is slowing down the syncing?

There is no option to save pictures to a different location other than the default position on your Samsung phone using the default camera app. There is however an option with the Camera assistant to save recorded videos on an external source if you so wish.

The default camera folder on Samsung phones will typically be DCIM/Camera in your internal storage.
