Im having issues with my s25 ultra camera. Within the camera app itselt it seems more blurry than the s24 ultra. Using 10x or more its even more noticeable, with texts its clearer the difference, first picture its s25 and s24 below. Anyone else having the same issue?

I also notice different focal distance for those Phones with The same zoom level and same lens

Yep, same experience. I have an S22 Ultra, and it produces better photos in the majority of scenarios. Detail is almost always significantly better on the S22 Ultra photos, especially with close and medium range subjects. I'm fairly experienced with photography and know exactly what I'm doing. The S25 Ultra handles difficult lighting better and certainly produces a punchier picture, if people like that. If there's no update sorting this issue before my 14 day return window elapses, I'll be doing that.

Hi @Pedro K
Welcome to the community forum.
The stock Camera App like battery performance are hotly debated every year when the new model is released.
I believe the stock Camera App should produce excellent results on default settings, because most users will be using default settings. Especially when photography is one of the main selling points.
These comparisons of pictures taken with previous models being better are happening every year. The camera hardware had some upgrades this year. It is logical that previous models have a more mature camera app code, hence taking better pictures. If you search the S24 thread, you will find numerous posts stating that pictures taken with previous phones were better.
I am sure that there are issues with the S25 camera. Most likely they will be sorted with future firmware updates. The S25 can take some impressive pictures as posted, but it will struggle under certain conditions. It is something that happens even with professional cameras.

Hi @Stevo3000
Welcome to the community forum.
It is good to keep some perspective. This is a phone with camera capabilities, doing a good job as a camera. A good lens or a good camera could cost more than the phone. Cameras are less complex, and they also get firmware updates for improvements or fixing bugs.

I agree with you, they very similar. Is the white balance, HDR settings different on both phones?
However, it is always hard to make comparisons for various reasons. Settings on cameras might be different which will impact how the compressed pictured is rendered. Software zoom is always a tricky situation, etc.

Same issue. It's very disappointing. I really hope they fix it soon. If not, 6 months until the Google Pixel Pro 10 is released.
