After 2 weeks my S25 Ultra battery life is still worse than my wife's S23 Ultra.
It is on power saving settings, only charging to 80% and the display is on the lowest resolution.
In the attached example I have used 16% in 2 hours but can only account for 2.6% of it
Any thoughts on what is draining the battery?

Might be worth doing a Wipe Partition Cashe on the phone
Could be something in the background that's causing an issue.
There will of course be apps that run in the background like email apps etc the refresh regularly. Might be worth looking at those.
But try wiping the Partition Cashe first and go from there

Turn off your phone.

Connect your phone with a USB cable

To PC or another Samsung mobile

You will see the charging icon on your screen.

Wait till it shows charging with battery percentage.

Next, press and hold the Volume up and Side key simultaneously.

You can press the volume up button just before the Side key.

The Samsung Logo followed by

Samsung Galaxy appears on the Screen.

At this point, release the keys

Phone will boot into Android Recovery mode

In Android recovery mode, using Volume keys, choose “Wipe Cache Partition” .

Use the power button to accept that.

You will then see its cleared.

Then the top option, reboot phone.

Press the power button to reboot the phone and then sign in normally

Resolution does not affect the battery usage. Use QHD+ and enjoy your screen.

Hi @Chimaera724

Welcome to the community forum.

It is perfectly logical that your S25 Ultra, in the first two weeks, has worse battery performance than your wife's S23 Ultra. It is the learning period and the phone optimising your usage.

We go through this motion every year when a new phone is released. My S24 Ultra took around 6 weeks for the battery performance to be excellent. Initially, it could barely do 12 hours, but after the learning period and the phone settled, I started to get over 4 days of battery life. By the way, the battery performance was improving gradually.

My advice is always the same, do not turn off any feature that makes an Ultra an Ultra and you want to use. The phone eventually will settle and battery performance would be similar or better than your wife's.

Thanks, I will be a little more patient and monitor performance.
I will also try the cache clearance described above and feedback.

Interesting, do you have a reference to qualify this? I would love to turn it up but am following Samsung's advice.1739910352244.jpg

I hope this helps. Also I have seen various sources, I always kept my phone on low display resolution because I wanted to save battery life, but using high definition resolution just makes the experience so much better, it's totally worth the risk.

This will tell you on wich preference you prefer if you prefer 100% go basic or if you want 80% while sleeping the phone adapts to 100% when you are awake depends on your usage pattern
