I purchased my S25 Ultra on February 2, 2025, and the battery drain when not in use is excessive. Even after showing the issue to the retailer, they said there were no problems. They suggested I format and submit the phone for investigation, a process that might take 15 days. This is frustrating; please suggest what I should do.

I dint even do any transfers

No Arsheya890, your battery usage when your device is not in use for 5 hours is not normal. @Wordsmith has kindly identified Snapchat as your problem app, so I would begin by uninstalling Snapchat before re-installing it (your account won't be deleted). I would then reboot your device, before going to Snapchat in your apps list and going into storage, and then emptying the app cache if there is anything at all in it. See how things go from here @Arshey890, but hopefully these steps can help you somewhat.

That looks kinda normal for how much you have your screen on for. You have battery protection set to max, meaning you've disabled 20% of your battery (unless you changed the limit to something else). The main battery drain is Snapchat, which is using A LOT of battery.

In device care, you could set the performance profile to light to see if it helps. You dont seem to do much incentive stuff so you might not notice a difference

I advise you to uninstall the battery-hungry app and restart the phone before downloading the app back. You have Snapchat, which is showing massive effects on your battery.

Yes, the limit is 95%, and I set the performance profile to light a few days ago because of this issue: If I charge my phone to 95%, after 5 hours of non-use, the battery drops to 76%, even with all connections off, low brightness, and no background apps. My concern is whether that is normal.

I will try that. Is it normal for a phone to consume 20% to 25% battery when not in use for 5 hours?

Because if I keep my phone down for 5 hours after being charged to 95%, the battery seems to be around 70% to 75%, even with no background apps, low brightness, and all connectivities off.

I have the same issue with my S25 Ultra. It worked so well in the first couple of weeks and then started draining so fast after 100% charge and by mid day, not even heavily using the phone it hit 15% and so on. Phone warms up during charging and also while on calls. I have been a Galaxy user since S3 (ages ago) and this is the first time (apart from Note 7 recall which I was a victim) I have encountered this situation. Was so happy for 2 weeks for S25 and totally disappointed with it now.
