S25 trade in deal

I was looking at trading in my s23 ultra for the s25 ultra. Anyone got any idea why the 512gb model has less trade in value than the 256gb model? It's like 70 pounds less. Even the 1tb model is less then the 256gb one. It dosent make sense to me.

Yes because Samsung is trying to cut corners and rip off customers.

Yes I'm probably not going to. The only thing is the trade in value of the phone depreciates year over year. But for 400 quid trade in its probably not worth it.

I also had an S23u 512gb model to trade, and i asked this question from a reputable internal source within Samsung. The reason is as follows:

"The prices are based on current 'backmarket -good' value, so thats correct.

"Some devices have variances where lower storage is valued more than higher, but we have to align to market guidance".



So even though I felt that the storage options should have been staggered as expected, I still decided to trade in my 512 model for a slightly lower cost.

With the discounts and freebies I still feel I got a very good deal.

That can be seen as a serious allegation and one that is unfounded. Please remember you are on a public forum.

When S23 Series was launched, there was a free double memory upgrade available during pre-order. As a result there are many more 512gb versions in the second hand market which depresses prices. Conversely there are fewer 256gb models.

I'm afraid that is the market.

Ah OK I see what you are saying. It is still strange to me however that a lower storage phone can be more valuable than a higher one. Still dosent really make sense to me. Thanks for your reply though.🙂

Spoke to customer support earlier who advised there is glitch on the website and will resolved in 2-4 hours. Called back 6 hours later and now they saying the pricing is correct and apparently samsumg has posted this up somewhere as an announcement.
