As the title tells, I feel very secure now... not. The phone got an update, restarted it. All fine so far. Now, a couple of hours later, I wanted to check Discord and boom... wrong unlock pattern. I never used another one before. I know my pattern! Something broke, and I don't know how to access the device now. I have my Galaxy Tab 9 but so far, I was not able to find any unlock functions like through SmartThings Find as Grok and ChatGPT suggested. There are plenty of videos about hard reset but thats not an option. I have my Authy on it and alot of photos and dats I don't want to loose. There are not even options like using a normal pin or email/google to get into the phone now. To be honest: I just switched from my iPhone 15 Pro Max and missing the TrueDepth unlock. That never let me down. So, what is the procedure to bypass/unlock the phone, without a hard reset. -- Thank you, Streamings

My Samsung S24 has been doing the same since 3 weeks now. It is after the recent android 15 update that is has caused this issue. The pin suddenly asks for 6 digits when my pin has been of 4 digits since months. Samsung customer care does not have any solution for it either. I'm still really hoping they fix this issue as I do not wish to reset the device. And this issue has been occurring in many devices now especially S24 and S25.

It happened to me too. Queue panic, trying to find an S9, hoping it still charged wirelessly because the port no longer works, trying to remeber passwords. From reading online it appears samsung is aware of this problem and is 'working on it.' It seems like the only solution is to factory reset from samsung find me. I did this but sadly 3 days later it happened again. Im now waiting for it to happen a third time, at which point I will be onto samsung demanding a new phone.
