I have my new S25 now. I ran Smart Switch but that did not copy over all the apps from my old Moto G6 on Android 9 or my music files. The S25 did list what apps were installed on G6 and I had to install them manually. I also had to coy my music tracks from my PC to the S25 via USB cable.

I had to reconfigure all my nested app folders too.

I'm finding it very difficult to drag and drop an app into an app folder since the  app just slips to the side of the nested folder. This appears to be a major design flaw. You can add apps using the + symbol from within the nested folder but the original app remains on the home screen and is not removed as with drag and drop - yet another design flaw. 

I also find the phone keeps reverting to light mode despite setting dark mode.

Congratulations on your purchase. 

I can't relate to how things went when setting up from a different phone as I always use Samsung to which I use Samsung Cloud. 

When adding apps to a folder I typically use the option however if I want to move an app manually to a folder then usually long holding, and holding the app over the folder for a second or two does the trick. 

I always use Dark Mode and haven't had my phone revert to light mode. 

Do check any routines and also try https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ 

Also a good troubleshooting step is >

  • Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port or a usb-c to usb-c phone to phone set up to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }
