S25 Free Gemini Advanced Subsription

During the unbox event for S25 they said people would get free subscription to Google Gemini Advanced. Has anyone actually got this as I ordered the ultra and messaged Samsung to be told that this isn't a promotion? Seems weird to have been in the unbox event maybe not valid in UK?

You'd need to do it on the phone
I haven't signed up myself as I won't be paying for it afterwards. So no point getting used to using it for me.
But I don't know how long this promotion is for
Best to see when you get the device and sign up

I take it back your 100% right i clicked into the actual bit to subscribe and there is it was 6mths free then £18.99 a month there after. Thanks for saying as I would not have thought to click that far into the app. 😊

Is available via Google one app...if you open the app scroll down to your Google one subscription and upgrade to AI tier...6 months free

You can downgrade back to free or whatever tier you have on Google one after the 6mo...so you don't need to pay unless you go over your storage limit

Not bad, give you a free subscription. Get you used to using the the AI features and just when you get used to using the functions regularly comes the crunch. If you want it now, you have to pay. I get it you have R&D costs, but these phones are very expensive to start with. £18.99 a month is something I will not pay. Everything has a subscription today, it all adds up.

From what I can see in the screenshot, the promotion is valid until 1st February 2026.

One note: If you plan to go back to the free Google One, be careful not to exceed the 15 GB of storage available for free, as Google will block you until you delete something or take one of the subscriptions. Only the monthly subscription of €22 or £19 in the UK comes with Gemini Advanced, all other available subscriptions (100GB, 200GB, 2TB at a price of €10) do not include Gemini Advanced.

If you generate a lot of images, you will fill up 15 GB very quickly, so take that into account. Also, saving images in original quality will fill up 15 GB very quickly.

TBF it really doesnt bring anything to the table - you get the gemini AI in google drive and gmail...and access to newer gemini models but thats it...i wouldnt pay £19/mo for that if you torture me...so i ll go back in August!
