hello everyone
just wondering if I am the only one who cares ... but does anyone else have this issue?
I had the RCS (chat function) on my "old" S22 working normally on the Samsung Messages app. Then I switched to the S25 and since then I don't have the RCS function - I can't see, if the messages were delivierd, read or seen. I turned it on and off, still nothing. I contacted my service provider (with many examples) and they told me "no logs from the upstream provider matching the provided timestamps". I even tried switching to Google Messages, the same issue - RCS not working, number "vefying". I even opened an issue with Google, NOTHING 😞
Is it just me or is this a general Google issue?

If your mobile network still support chat, Samsung Messages will support rcs.
My provider never supported chat and Samsung had offered an RCS option through Google before, but it didn't work well, RCS would keep crashing and then I gave up on Samsung Messages and switched to Google Messages. But this happened to me too - I didn't deactivate RCS in Samsung Messages and it took about 2 weeks before Google verified my number and it's been working flawlessly ever since.

No, if someone doesn't have RCS, they will automatically text you that you are sending an SMS or MMS. Personally, I really like the option to be able to decide for myself whether to chat with someone or disable chat for that person and communication between us will only be SMS or MMS. 😂
