Hi all,

I bit the bullet and ordered the 25 ultra and the clear magsafe case but as this will be my first foray into magnetic charging, can anyone recommend some Qi2 chargers?

Doesn't seem like it. I just got my S25u and my watch 7 the other day. Purchased the ESR 3-1 qi2 stand only to find that the watch charger is for an apple watch and refuses to charge my GW7 or my GW4.

Looked around to see if I could find an all in one for Samsung. No go. I feel like this is a major lost opportunity for Samsung and thrid party companies.

Last week after receiving my new Galaxy S25+, I purchased the "Anker MagSafe Compatible 2-in-1 Charging Stand" and a "Spigen Ultra Hybrid MagFit Designed for Galaxy S25 Plus Qi2 Certified/Magnet Case". When I tested the Qi2 fast charger, the best it would charge at was 7.5W, not the 15W charging it was supposed to do. I returned the Anker charging stand to Amazon. After doing a little research, I read that many MagSafe Qi2 charges have a problem doing full 15W charging when the case is thicker than 2mm. With that said, I'll be sending the Spigen case back for a refund.

I found a similar case by TAURI that is only 1.016mm thick, so I ordered that case. I also found and ordered the "Spigen OneTap Pro (MagFit) 3 in 1 Qi2 Certified 15W Wireless Charging Stand". I supposed to get it tomorrow. If OneTap Pro stand does do full Qi2 15W fast charging , I'll keep it, if it doesn't, it'll go back too.

I know the OneTap Pro stand does call out it is for use with Apple devices (iPhones, Apple Watches, and Airpods), but for the charging an Apple Watch, you need to supply the Apple Watch charger and cable. If I keep it, I'll modify the charger holder so I can install the charger for my Galaxy Watch Ultra in it. I use Airpod Pros for my earbuds, so that charger, which is 5W Qi wireless should work for me, but I believe the Galaxy earbuds are compatible with 5W Qi wireless charging, aren't they?

I'll let everyone know how I make out.

So? Any results? I decided to grab the OneTap Pro 3 in 1 as well after you mentioned it.

Using a 45w Anker PD/PSS charging block and a Torras 360 spin qi2 case I put the S25u on the stand - to my dismay it wouldn't even trigger fast charging let along hit anything close to 15w.

I had better luck with the esr stand. And even that was maxing out at about 6watts.

Before I return everything I ordered, I'm going to try a spigen qi2 case and see if the case is the issue.

Super disappointed so far.

Amazon delivered the OnTap Pro 3 in 1, and the thinner TAURI case late yesterday afternoon. I connected it to one of the ports of my "HyperJuice 245W GaN USB-C Charging Station" to try charging my S25+ with the Spigen case on it, but the best I got was 8W (S25+ was at 35%). I swapped cases and put on the thinner TAURI case, but because of raised rim around the camera lenses, it wouldn't lay flat on the charger. It was only able to charge at 7.5W. The charger on the OnTap 3-in-1 is square, and not round. I also noticed that the magnets on the OnTap Pro 3 in 1 weren't as strong as the one's on the Anker MagSafe Compatible 2-in-1 charger I originally tried. The OnTap 3-in-1 will be going back this morning.

For ha-ha's, I took my old 3-in-1 I got when I got my S21 5G and tested that charger with my S25+ with the case off, with the Samsung non-Qi2 case, and with the Qi2 TAURI case, and all charged at 10W+.

I'm going to keep hunting for 3-in-1 charger designed for newer Samsung devices that can charge the new S25 series at 15W+, and the smartwatches and wireless earbuds at 5W.

Have you check to make sure it is actually 'fast' charging? Did you put a meter between the power source and the charger to see what the power draw is? I've tried a couple of different Qi2 chargers, and a couple of different cases, but I haven't been able to find a Qi2 charger and case that will actually fast charge my S25+ at 15W (Qi2 standard).

Oh man.. you faired better than me but this is so disappointing. You would think day 0 verified accessories would exist to allow the faster charges. I'll continue to be on the hunt as well.

If you find anything that works please let us know.

For now I'm sticking with the esr 3 in 1, it's only hitting about 6 watts but it does have a usb c on the top of the stand where the apple watch charger would plug in, I can put a little rubber stand for the GW7 charger to fit into and secure it at the top, so I'd still get my 3 in 1 albeit it not at 15w.

I reached out to esr stating how disappointed I was that their qi2 was not hitting optimal charging speeds with the S25u, they offered me a 30% refund so I was like sure. Hopefully things improve as the s25 series matures.

The magnets in the Apple Watch charger are the opposite of the magnets in the Galaxy Watch 5, 6, and 7 fast chargers, The Galaxy charge is slightly wider that the Apple charger. I believe both do 5W/2A charging (Qi).

How thick is your case? I've seen posts out there that only thin cases (less than 2mm) will work with most of the MagSafe Qi2 charger. I have friends and family with the new iPhones and they have the same problem with thick cases. They solve the problem by taking off the case, or getting a case it is less than 2mm. There are some 1mm cases out there, but most have raised rims around the camera lens that interferes with the case connecting flatly against the Qi2 charger.

If I can find a Qi2 charger that WILL fast charge my Galaxy S25+ at the full 15W, I'll just cut off the rim around the lens that prevents it from attaching solidly to the charger.

Update:

Still using the esr 3 in 1 qi2 certified charger with the included 30 watt adapter, I swapped to a spigen ultra hybrid magfit qi2 certified case.

Phone was at 70% and I was hitting 13watts on a wireless charge.

This is the best I have seen so far. I will keep this combo for now.

I do not recommend torras cases especially the 360 or 360 spin. They do not reach qi2 charger rated and will scratch your magnetic charger/stand.

I ordered from Amazon, the “ESR Qi2 3 in 1 Wireless Charging Station with CryoBoost, [Certified] Phone-Cooling Wireless Charger & 15W Qi2 Charger Stand”, and as a precautionary measure, the “ESR for Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus Phone Case, Compatible with MagSafe, Magnetic Case for S25+ Plus” to test with my new Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus phone. I didn’t need or use the case so I’m sending it back for a refund.

For the testing, I used:

  • HyperJuice 245W GaN USB-C Charging Station (for Desktop)
  • Plugable USB C Power Meter Tester for Monitoring USB-C Connections up to 240W - Digital Multimeter Tester for USB-C Cables, Laptops, Phones, Chargers
  • Spigen Ultra Hybrid MagFit Designed for Galaxy S25 Plus Case [Qi2 Certified/Magnet for Galaxy] (2025)
  • Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus phone
  • TAURI for Samsung Galaxy S25 Case, Compatible with MagSafe [Anti-Yellowing], 15FT Military-Grade Protection, Shockproof Slim Magnetic Phone Case for Samsung Galaxy S25
  • Samsung Galaxy S25 phone

The reason I used the ‘Spigen case for the testing with the Galaxy S25 Plus, was it was the thickest of the cases I’ve purchased. For the testing of the Galaxy S25, I used the ‘TAURI’ case because it was the thinnest, and the protection rim around the lens was higher than the back of the rest of the case.

When I previously tested the “Anker MagSafe Compatible 2-in-1 Charging Stand” and the “Spigen OneTap Pro (MagFit) 3 in 1 Qi2 Certified 15W Wireless Charging Stand”, the protective rim around the camera lenses on all of the cases I purchased, prevented both phones from laying flat against the charger which leads me to believe is the reason I was only able to get Qi1 charging speed, 7.5W, during their testing.

The two of the attached pictures from my testing show that the Qi2 charging area on the ‘ESR Qi2 3-in-1’ is raised from the body and is the same size as the ring built into the cases I purchased and tested with. Because it was raised, the protective rim around the camera lens area on all cases, didn’t prevent the phone from lying flat on the charger. One picture shows my Galaxy S25 Plus attached to the ESR charger, and the last pictures shows the wattage that was being drawn from the ‘HyperJuice 245W GaN USB-C Charging Station’ by the ‘ESR Qi2 3-in-1’ once the phone and charging stand sync’d. I got the same results when I tested my wife’s Galaxy S25.

The ”ESR Qi2 3 in 1 Wireless Charging Station with CryoBoost, [Certified] Phone-Cooling Wireless Charger & 15W Qi2 Charger Stand” was designed for the Apple iPhone, but the 5W charger on the base will wireless charge both Apple AirPods and Galaxy Earbuds. Yes, it does includes a USB-C module for charging the Apple Watch, but I emailed ESR about a possible 5W USB-C module for charging Galaxy Watches and they responded that once their R&D team certifies the ‘ESR Qi2 3 in 1 Wireless Charging Station’ will do Qi2 fast charging to both the Apple iPhone and Apple Galaxy S25 series phones, and the Qi1 charger on the base of the stand will fast charge both Apple and Samsung earbuds, they will look at developing a USB-C module for fast charging Galaxy watches.
