One ui8 s25+ gallery app issue

Anyone having issues selecting or viewing photos in albums? Just jumps when clicked.

No issues. Jumps where how. Does any album works? Did you restart the phone?

Animation is essentially a wee hop. Every so often after some persistence a photo will open. Selecting never works.

FYI I'm not a novice so cache cleaned, full restart etc. Still no improvement. More interested in folk who have the same issue and if there's a specific resolution tbh. Thanks anyway...

I appear to have self repaired the issue.

I deleted the data in the gallery app. I then restarted. It does muck up your folders a bit, but photos are unaltered. You also have to reset Gallery Labs if you use that.

I'm partner s25+ just started doing the same after the UI 8.0 update . Any permanent fixes for this .

Yes. As described above. Delete the personalised data in app info. You then need to reset folders a bit and restart labs (if used), but it clears the fault.

Ok will all my photo folders still be there was worried that it would delete my photos or folder names .

All photos remain. I hope you have them backed up elsewhere anyway.

Folders are a bit of a hit and miss with new ones created, but I was back to where I was with limited sorting. Well worth the effort as opposed to the glitched state.

Thank you i will try that on my partner phone the update done this to her s25+ I have the s25 ultra and that's fine
