Firstly, I have used secure folder since it was introduced years ago and I can't believe how bad it is now after the one ui 8 update, I don't use a screen lock and don't want too, but now you have to use one if you want to use secure folder. This is ridiculous! You shouldn't be forced to use a screen lock when there is already a lock on the secure folder.
Next, when you are in the secure folder, there is no longer an option to close it automatically when you leave, so if you leave your phone open, someone could still get into it, it should lock as soon as you leave it.
Lastly, I can't believe that you can no longer use circle to search inside the folder, this is also ridiculous, to have an amazing feature like that and not being able to use it half of the time, what is the point in that! I have been with samsung since the original galaxy s, I am a very loyal customer but I am seriously thinking of changing, this is one of the biggest downgrades I've seen, please sort these issues

Agreed! Samsung messed this up so bad it doesn't even make sense.

My biggest issue since UI8 is that apps that are installed INSIDE the secure folder CANNOT access files that are located INSIDE the secure folder with their file picker.  The only exception I found is Samsung's own file manager). Instead, the apps INSIDE the secure folder can NOW access files that are in the normal storage OUTSIDE the secure folder.
This makes absolutely no sense and turns the secure folder totaly useless! A Samsung technican confirmed the problem to me and said they want to fix it as soon as possible.

I do not need circle search, I need a functioal secure folder, meaning I expect base functions working, which is not the case since UI8

YES, this will be my last Samsung phone if they force me to set a screen lock on the main account to use the secondary account (Secure Folder). The Secure Folder must be reverted to version 7.0. It's mandatory for Samsung if they don't want to lose thousands of users.

You can still access apps that in Secure Folder within Settings > Apps without a screen lock enabled.
But you need to first set up Secure Folder with screen lock enabled, than remove it after setting up Secure Folder (if you did not use Secure Folder before)

Thankyou, that is a good workaround so I don't have to keep setting up a screen lock just to access my secure folder, then turn it back off again 🤦🤦🤦 I have now set a short cut to that setting using shortcut maker so it's quicker all round 👍 please just go back to how it was on one ui 7 samsung!!! 😡

Samsung, the secure folder is behaving like a piece of * at the moment! If you keep it like this,  there is no need for anyone to use the secure folder anymore. Again and again and again: AN APP INSIDE THE SECURE FOLDER SHOULD BE ABLE TO ACCESS A FILE INSIDE THE SECURE FOLDER, which is not possible since UI8. Secure folder is complete useless if this is not possible, it like a car without wheels🤣.
And messages like this do not go away by itself, the problem needs to be fixed!

The reason is  Samsung's documentsUI application in the secure folder. It seems to have wrong permissions

The issue can be solved with an older version of documentsUI but please use it on your own risk! I do not know how safe that file from apkpure is.

I just tested it and itworked! For security reasons, I will now reset my phone.
Thank you very much Samsung!
