Does anyone know why some notifications only come through when I unlock my phone? 

You would expect notifications to come through as when they have been sent.

I personally love that I dont get bombarded with notifications all day long.

I have most notifications off.

Also there is a possibility the AI learns which notifications to prioritise over time.

Sleeping and deepsleeping apps could be the reason as well.

Hey there

Could be a multitude of reasons....

1. Do you have battery protection turned on?

2. Do you have any modes or routines on?

3. App notifications are set at app level as well as device level, the apps where you aren't getting notifications, are they turned on at app level (settings, notification, apps)

Thank you. I do have battery protection on at adaptive level. All the apps I'm refering to should be sending notifications. I don't have any routinestines on.
