Samsung really are pulling the wool over people's eyes. After saying they were reading usage reports, only 1% use the Bluetooth function on the spen. Apparently that equates to 160000 people which is a lot. Am I being thick or do they get these usage reports when we opt into it when setting up the phone? How many people turn off usage reports when setting up their phone? I know I do. I smell a rat with Samsung. Air gestures are so much fun. The most composed Selfies I find is by using the spen. This was the ultras signature ™️ that should never have been up for debate. It's a great bit of tech. The S25 ultra has lost it's id. It's looking like the IPhone now. IPhone/moto g stylus vibes. No thanks. Get back to the drawing board and start giving us S10 model vibes again when you were flexing muscles globally. But losing handy hardware and copying apple seems the way forward. 🤮

Well, by your thinking, you are saying that the S25 ultra is clearly a night and day upgrade over the S23 and S24 ultra? Convince me, please...

Well put mate 👏🏻 my thoughts exactly 💯 maybe Samsung should've left the charging coil in the S25 ultra and offered customers the choice of paying for the Bluetooth spen with a reduction at pre orders.

Nothing childish about it! It's an ultra phone. No shortcuts. No cost cutting. Best of the best! It should stay that way. Give customers the option if anything. Maybe do surveys by asking customers rather than dropping the bombshell on them.

Good move 👏🏻 personally, I'd stay away from the iPhone. You see, many people like yourself find the Bluetooth function spen very handy. It's great convenient tech. I looked at the S10 ultra tablet, but see a couple of videos where the mediatek chip is as efficient as the 8gen2 in the tab s9 ultra. That's the one I have. So very happy with both my S23 ultra and tab s9 ultra, especially as I know they both have the Oscar winning 8gen2. Can't stop playing with both.

Your opinion, of course, but i hear more complaints about price over the SPen Bluetooth functionality. I'm highly doubtful the loss of Bluetooth vs a price cut compare to most customers.

The processor alone is the biggest leap in performance any generation has ever had. You might not appreciate it, but it is a HUGE upgrade. It takes Intel 1.5 years to make a downgraded CPU whilst mobiles have improved performance year on year without fail. The CPU can reach speeds of over 4GHz, around 1GHz higher than last years model. That alone is an insane improvement.

By your thinking I wonder how many people would be interested in a £1800 phone with all those bells and whistles you ask for. Think it would sell well?

Mate, you talk about good trade-in deals. You've gone that far by paying not as much because of the trade-in. What's another £50 if that's the cost for keeping the Bluetooth function? It's not really a massive saving considering the trade-in deals. If anything, we should be given the option at pre orders. Because of this supposed survey, give customers the choice at pre orders with a reduction for it. I'm sure everyone would appreciate that. Options, mate..

Logistically it makes no sense. Remember how Samsung use to make so many different phones in the past? Why do you think they cut that out? It wasn't economical and the software updates for so many different devices would be a nightmare. Making specific software for the same line as the S25 series will just further complicate and drive costs up. You're entitled to your opinion ofcourse, but if these sacrifices are what Samsung need to do to keep prices THE SAME then so be it. Personally I'm not bothered by the loss of Bluetooth on the S-Pen, I'm much happier prices didn't go up despite Qualcomm shafting it's customers with inflating prices. You do realise that each year these component prices keep rising, so expecting Samsung to retain the same price whilst adding more features is wholly unrealistic.

Mate, we all are aware of the 8 elite. It's not something you will dramatically notice with day to day tasks. You'll notice it when uploading large file videos, etc. Look how well the S23 and S24 ultras perform. I definitely appreciate the best there is, but I can not justify certain things. I could easily hand over £752 including my S23 ultra, as a trade-in for the S25 ultra. But I will not do that as I believe I will get more from my S23 ultra. I've seen a couple of videos where the 8 elite gets a bit toasty. I ain't knocking it by any means, but when the 8gen2 came out, it was pretty perfect if you remember. I love it so much I even got the tab S9 ultra over the tab S10 ultra because of it. Two epic devices with epic chipsets.
