Why Samsung/Andriod Why Andriod is just becoming Windows With all the Bloatware and half of it can't even be removed/Uninstalled from device .

An app that I dont use at all has Unrestricted Battery Permission which i can't change!!. can't turn of notifications and can't even disable it and completely removed the option to Uninstall? .

But wait You can so long as your Root your Device and wave all rights of your devices Warranty!!🤣 you Can ...... 💸💰 Money Money Money makes the world go round🤣😑😑 .

You shouldn't have to Root a device because you just want to remove a "Non essential" App that you dont use . Yes have it here by default since many may use it but to the users who dont use it should not be forced to have these "Non essential" apps . And then make them have Unrestricted Battery use . Can't turn off notifications .

Keep getting prompted to "Link to Windows Services" And i can't TURN THE NOTIFICATIONS OFF.

Then Get your hopes up and go to google play store and ohhh it says Uninstall . but its only Uninstalling the Update to the app.

Yes this isn't just Samsung am aware of this but its Samsung that's Accepting Microsoft Money in order for these Microsoft apps to be permanently on your device Samsung device . Heck they couod of atleast said yeah thats no problem but are Samsung users get the option to Remove/Uninstall it from there device . But no they didnt . unless your Root the device many Non essentially apps are permanently on your Device is disgusting.

That's the thing Piper you cant turn of the notifications for the Link to Windows Services on your andriod they removed that option unfortunately. Least on the lastes One UI7 that ships with the S25Ultra. As I could Disbale remobe/unistall stop notifications on my S21Ultra. On an older UI.

And only way now is to sign into on a pc/create a Microsoft account if dont already link the account then setting then turn off notifications. Again in order to do this .

And if the user doesnt have a Microsoft account well bad luck you will forever indefinitely get "Link to Windows Services notifications " popping up . And no ability to turn them off on your actual andriod device.

But make a Microsoft account/ giving away your personal details.
But only then can you turn the notifications off by going into your Microsoft account on a PC and going to your Microsoft account settings .

That isn't right .

Hi @GaMinGiSsEmotional

I completely understand where you are coming from, but as said before, it cannot be done.

I do not know if it is legal or not, but I assume that Samsung's lawyers would have checked on this.

One should have the option of removing it, what about those who use MacOS, Linux, any other OS or none.

Have you tried?

Settings -> Notifications -> Advanced settings -> Manage notification categories for each app (Toggle this on)

Then go to:

Settings -> Notifications -> App notifications -> Link to Windows (Toggle off notifications).

It should not solve the uninstalling of the app, but it should solve the notification issue.

Appreciate the help Piper really do 🙏.

so just found out there 2 version Link to Windows and "Link to windows Services" now I can stop notifications for "Link to Windows" but Link to Windows Services " Nope I cannot . I honestly dont understand why they habe made this such a hassle just to try turn off notifications 😒✌️ but yeah as can see with my screenshot the Link to Windows can Disable it stop notification. But that's not the one am talking about its , The Windows Services notifications, that keeps popping up and as you can see its forced on and cannot be turned off on the andriod device have to create a Microsoft account and go into setting and notifications that way again forcing a using to give away personal details
Or yse a third party app to remove the notification again giving away person information just to remove this constantly at least 3/4 times a day getting the Link to Windows Services Spamming pop up its disgusting and very disappointed tbh.1739012835479.jpg1739012835487.jpg

Piper, I've read through this thread and noticed that your responses are short-sighted and unhelpful. You seem to have difficulty with reading comprehension, and you lack the ability to be thorough in your research. Instead of being helpful, it appears your goal is to try and prove yourself correct while degrading others. Unfortunately, you have only succeeded in making yourself look foolish.
