Instagram showing Secure Folder imagery in OneUi 7 showing [Solved]

There is a way around the secure folder. It seems that Instagram has full access to the secure folder, so what is hidden in the main gallery is fully accessible within Instagram. Just create a post and when selecting imagery, you will find everything in the secure folder merged in with the main gallery imagery. Anyone going into my Instagram can see all the images in my secure folder.
How can this be prevented?

I think i know the problem, hiding folders in gallery is not for security, more for convenience. It will still show photos from the onedrive backed up synced version in gallery. What you have to do is setup a secure folder, then move the photos into it you want secured and hidden. But they still show in gallery so you have to delete them from gallery. Now they are safe and hidden in your secure folder with no trace in gallery. You can move them anytime from secure folder back into your gallery.

I hope this helps and makes sense 🙏 but I suggest you take a photo of anything and try my solution first to ensure it's working correctly for you and backup all photos into Google photos in case anything goes wrong.

Nobody on Instagram can see anything on your phone. They only see what you post.

Hidden in main gallery how? Images that are in Gallery in Secure folder itself are only visible from within secure folder

That's not what I mean. We have secure folders that are only meant to be accessed via Knox with an extra password. But all this content is viewable if you go into Instagram and go to compose a post. In the gallery to add images to Instagram, all the secure photos are mixed in with the regular photos. They shouldn't be appearing there.

Not on my S25U. On my S24U this wasn't possible but I think there might be a bug on S25U/OneUi7 that merges them all together within the Instagram upload gallery.

You can also lock images in Google Photos and they won't be visible in your Samsung Gallery.

Thank you. That solved it.
One drive duplicating them, but storing them in order of when they were taken (years ago). But Instagram showing them in order of added (so appearing as recent).
I've deleted them from One drive and stopped automatic syncing (as Google syncs all my stuff anyway and that's separate from what Instagram can pull in.

Thank TechZilla.
