How to move the app screen search box/bar back to the top?

Just moved to the S25 from S23 and I'm not impressed with OneUI 7.

As far as the app screen/drawer is concerned, I know where all my apps are by muscle memory and only use the search function once in a blue moon. The search bar really should be far away from my fingers at the top like it has always been.

There should at least be an option to select the location of the search bar.

Agree 100%! I don't have to like the change just because some users think it's cool, or it's one handed friendly, or because they want to act like they are design experts. I'm an user, I want flexibility to use the search bar at the top and I didn't like the change. I don't understand how you run an UX/UI research ignoring the user feedback and trying to convince them to prefer what you think they should prefer.

Literally the one and only reason I buy amd use Samsung phones is that it is supposed to be the closest to using a PC, in regards to the customisation and control over what happens being at the hands of the user.

I mean honestly Google Gemini is the absolute most hated AI in my opinion, I'd sooner use askjeeves or god forbid Windows Vista based on accuracy and usability.

I might actually switch over, wish me luck in my forthcoming debt.

This response is patronizing and purposeful rage bait at best. I can understand adding the OPTION to lower the search bar, but it 1) does not make it easier for one handed use, 2) does not address the issue posed, and 3) does not address the fact that it's another dictation/choice taken away when customization and choice has typically been the draw TO android.

Another vote to stop the insanity and let us place our own things where we like them and are easiest for US. Not it being dictated for us and then told to adjust to the unwanted change.

Your reply helped no one. We don't want to be forced to use the trash you personally think is good. I sold my s23 ultra and bought a pixel 10 pro XL as soon as my phone forced one ui 7 on me. Done with Samsung because they took my ability to customize my phone away from me.

Im sorry to be so patronising but your an *****. If we wanted the search bar at the bottom we would of moved it ourselves. Honestly you must have nothing better to do with your time. And dont ever thing your ridiculous answer is the solution to our problems.
