How to move the app screen search box/bar back to the top?

Just moved to the S25 from S23 and I'm not impressed with OneUI 7.

As far as the app screen/drawer is concerned, I know where all my apps are by muscle memory and only use the search function once in a blue moon. The search bar really should be far away from my fingers at the top like it has always been.

There should at least be an option to select the location of the search bar.

Agreed! I'm looking at the Nothing Phone 3A Pro. I have awful trouble with touch screen sensitivity being far too high and typing sentences is almost impossible now without them being jumbled messes. Perhaps my thumbs are just rather large! Samsung just isn't working for me anymore, sadly.

It takes much longer to type now, due to correcting mistakes that autocorrect used to do. I should have clarified that.

Day two of this search bar silliness,  One-handed joke.  I swipe up to get my apps.  My thumb is at the top of the screen, I have to bring it all the way down to the bottom, activates the search bar, and boom. Keyboard pops up, search bar moves to thr middle of the screen, and the app I'm looking for, one of the 8 in my frequently used is . . . Guess where!?!  Back at the top of the screen.  Ease of use gone my friends!.  Before it was swipe up, thumb already at the top.  Touch search bar, top 8 apps right there, move thumb slightly and I'm back in business.  Less movement and faster.

Im not sure who this is easier.  It seems like a change made simply for the sake of change.

Or the tech who implemented the change misunderstood what was being asked of them.

On my phone now, the search bar is below where the space bar on the keyboard is.

If this is going to be touted as a one-handed solution, explain to me how putting my thumb below my pinky is supposed to help me hold on to my phone.

Oh, and when you touch the search bar, it hops up to the middle of the page!!

So what was the point of putting it all the way at the bottom?!?

I don't like the new update. Search bar for apps needs to be back at the top, and pulling gown the notification/settings is a nightmare. I often used to quickly.pull down for screen brightness but this is now several swipes away and not helpful. I choose Samsung as you can customise, but like others have said, this option is taken away and makes our experience much less favourable.

Hey samsung get your ***** together no one uses a galaxy fold one handed. Its incredibly annoying i cant reposition the ONLY feature of the hundreds of ***** features on this phone, now i am always clicking some random app instead of the search bar.

This is an utterly insane and useless response, seriously. No shade to you, I'm glad it works for you but this is not why I have been a Samsung customer since 2008.

This apple "we know what's best for you" brainrot is not why I have been a loyal Samsung customer since before the S3.

The respect for my needs and customisation is why I have been loyal to Samsung. I do not need this inconvenience, I do not need to juggle this because some one decided to push an outrageous UX downgrade on a whim.

You claim to have a solution and now this is marked as solved. It is not
