Anyone else facing issues with the ultrawide lens on the S25? The text or details in the clicked photographs are quite blurry, and apart from the center the details on the sides come out to be quite soft.
Comparing this to my S20 FE 5G and that ultrawide has much better image quality with sharper details.

The GSMArena review for S25 highlighted this as potentially being one-off due to a misaligned lens with their review unit, but just wondering if this is a broader issue, and what Samsung is doing to fix it?

I'd download camera assistant and enable "prioritise focus over speed" so the phone only takes an image when it's sure the subject is in focus

Shouldn't have to download additional apps, the camera should just work!

It is an official Samsung app. And yes I agree, but its an idea that might help you.

I know it is and appreciate you mentioning it but rather than samsung creative thousands of apps they should just get it right in the native one.

Samsung should stop creating so many apps or having many apps that do the same thing and should focus on getting the one working right. They would certainly get even more customers then in my view

Your phone uses various methods for focus, though as humans are humans, people complain if the click to take image delay is too high. So to satisfy people, you can take a picture even when the phone knows it doesnt have focus. If the phone is having a moment and struggling or someone just presses it too early, you get blur. The idea behind that setting is it should remove 'user error' and delay the picture taking process until the phone is sure.

If things are still blurry after changing that setting, then yeah I'd say something is up.

The idea behind those Samsung apps. Samsung doesn't like people rooting their phones. So they provide really powerful tools to tweak how the phone works. They just aren't installed by default as most people would set them wrong and complain

Thanks for the suggestion. I've downloaded the app and enabled 'prioritise focus over speed', but doesn't seem to make much of a difference. Here's hoping a software update can fix this, as I've met some people who are facing the same issues with their S25 units.
