I am having issues with video playback when watching youtube, prime, and Netflix it just randomly backs out of fullscreen and if the app allows, it goes into p.i.p mode if not it goes back to the previous screen, I am hoping it's just a bug they need to iron out with an update, I was also wondering if there's a new setting where if your face isn't in view of the front facing camera for a certain time it backs out of what you are watching??

Anyone else having this problem?

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community!

I've not personally experienced this issue, so it could be software. Be sure to go to the Samsung Members app—support—feedback.

1. Restart your phone: This classic fix often resolves temporary software glitches.
2. Check for app updates: Ensure YouTube, Prime Video, and Netflix are updated to their latest versions. Outdated apps can have compatibility issues.

Clear app cache and data: Go to your phone's settings, find the apps, and clear their cache and data. This can resolve corrupted data issues.

Safe Mode: Boot your phone into Safe Mode. This disables third-party apps and helps identify if a rogue app is causing the problem.

Hello 👋 @Smoky88

Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum.

I use YouTube quite alot and can confirm I'm not experiencing those issues.

Maybe long hold on the app and press i and then storage,  then clear cache to see if that helps.

A more broadsworded approach is Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port or a usb-c to usb-c phone to phone set up to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Does anyone know if I imagined a setting where the front facing camera, can detect if you are still looking at the screen and if not, turns the screen off?

Hi, do you think this could be the problem, I do wipe the screen alot to remove fingerprints and dust, and it seems to happen a lot 🤔
Not just on YT but also prime and Netflix, but I will keep this in mind to watch out for thank you, has this happened to you at all?

If you're swiping the screen downwards in YouTube you will back it out of full screen and if it's not full screen, it'll go into a PiP view. This isn't a bug, it's the normal functioning behaviour.
