Hey guys,

Whenever I have 'do not disturb' activated and open the Facebook app it overrides it by turning off DND. 

Once the app is open I can then tap DND back to on. Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing to not let FB override my settings?

Go to settings, search for special access, press do not disturb permission, find Facebook, turn it off. That should prevent Facebook messing with no not disturb.

You can also download good lock, download nice catch, enable setting change history. It'll tell you every time an app changes a setting, such as turning do not disturb on or off. If Facebook isn't doing it, that'll say what is

I was going to ask the same question about fb ads. This is a dirty trick by social media companies where they have an ad or a featured video I.e it bypasses the usual volume and uses another volume so it overrides your phones settings when on silent. To get around this, the only way I have found up to now is when you activate dnd and your phone is on silent. Press the volume button then press the 3 dots at the top to bring up all the volume sliders and turn them all off as the phone does not put them all on silent when your phone is in dnd mode. It's a pain but not found another way yet. Hope this helps

Then it seems the Facebook app itself doesn't disable do not disturb. Something else is. Time to see what nice catch says

I've a similar problem... with DND on how do I set it so facebook messenger with ring thru and not be muted?

I got around it by setting up a bedtime routine, it has been fine ever since.
