Hi All,

Unsure if I am getting this wrong, but am I correct saying that Samsung has disabled Dex for Windows with the S25 series and the only way to connect is via PhoneLink? This is if you want to concurrently work on your work PC (in my case) and also have the S25 screen up (say pull up on one of my screens when required). I have tried Dex (downloaded and installed in my work laptop) and connected via a compatible (supplied) USB-C cable, and it doesn't seem to work. Annoying move if that's the case, forcing to create Microsoft account, which most people won't have on their personal devices, I'd like to think majority of people would have Google accounts (for personal use and on their mobiles). Samsung's OS platform is now Google based too, so a bit of conflict there too.

Anybody has had the same issue and any work-around to get the Dex on windows PC running with S25? Any help/direction around this would be highly appreciated.

Cheers, Pranay

Sry but the "new" Phone link Feature is *****. It's nothing to the original Windows Dex PC App. Now if i use an app i habe a Screen max the size of my Phone Screen. That is not useable. I can't understand why they stopped support 😞

Anyone know an alternative for it?

Samsung have sold me a phone that simply does not work for my home and business!

I need a mobile that coordinates with my work email and contacts and diary. Also essential to easily transfer files and photos to my pc.

So far I have tried Windows Link, Samsung Flow  and Quick Share

Syncing outlook contacts and calendar from my work was never easy with a work email address. I gave up looking and use the app My Phone Explorer which has proved excellent. Whilst you can sync with wifi and bluetooth I always like simply plugging in the usb cable and connect with my trusty Note 9 and sync at ease.

Also with the usb connected my phone was another drive I could simply drag and drop photos, files etc between pc and phone. So far I have tried Windows Link, Quick Share and Samsung Flow to no avail.

Samsung will be getting the phone back if I can't make it work - its simply not fit for purpose!

Further to my earlier post, if you are interested, I managed to get My Phone Explorer app connected via blue tooth to my S25 and pc. Not only sync my outlook contacts and calendar but also managed to drag and drop photos and files back fore from S25 to PC!
