Hi All,
Unsure if I am getting this wrong, but am I correct saying that Samsung has disabled Dex for Windows with the S25 series and the only way to connect is via PhoneLink? This is if you want to concurrently work on your work PC (in my case) and also have the S25 screen up (say pull up on one of my screens when required). I have tried Dex (downloaded and installed in my work laptop) and connected via a compatible (supplied) USB-C cable, and it doesn't seem to work. Annoying move if that's the case, forcing to create Microsoft account, which most people won't have on their personal devices, I'd like to think majority of people would have Google accounts (for personal use and on their mobiles). Samsung's OS platform is now Google based too, so a bit of conflict there too.
Anybody has had the same issue and any work-around to get the Dex on windows PC running with S25? Any help/direction around this would be highly appreciated.
Cheers, Pranay

Aah.. gotcha! That's very annoying! Such a great feature, taken off. There'd be thousands of people like me I guess on the same boat!

Forget phonelink just plug your S25 into a USB monitor or compatible thunder bolt port and enjoy on device DeX.

It's very sad to see that Samsung is disabling this functionality,
this story of Microsoft Phone Link and Samsung Dex
reminds me of a similar story about Microsoft Windows Mobile and Nokia Maemo operating system.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. Although your suggestion might stand true for some, might not be for all. In my case, I don't have a Microsoft (personal) account, just a work one on my work PC. I don't prefer installing and using work email on my personal phone. The idea of having the dex was to be able to access personal email, text, photos, etc. when working on my work PC (like I used to be able to). My browsers are all google linked too on my mobile.

Hmm... not a productive one really, when at work usually need both the monitors. Dedicating one monitor to phone is going to be counterproductive. I wonder what Samsung's thought process was for this move - probably that all users will have work mobile with work Microsoft account and then when at work on work PC with work Microsoft account, they can use phonelink.

I beg to differ, from what I am experiencing, they customized their Android os heavily with Google, almost everything is linked via Google and Google account, hence the comment. I understand stock Android and Google android are not the same thing, my comment more meant it's googlised!
