Charging issue

My S25 ultra has suddenly startrd to experience charging issues. A couple of days ago I noticed it was charging slowly and when I checked was saying USB instead of fast charger! Unplugged and re-inserted and it went ok. Then yesterday it wldnt charge at all, had to do it wirelessly, today it will charge but just standard, won't recognise fast charger. I'm using the cable that came with it but I've tried others that are all Samsung and the same issue. Tried the cable on my tab S10 and recognised fast charger no problem. This isn't an issue I've ever had before and I've had Samsung phones for over 10 yrs. Anybody else ever had this problem?

It might be something wrong with the inside of the charging input of the phon I'd take it to Currys or something

Hi! Sounds frustrating. I would say the best course of action is to

A: Make sure youre using an offocial charger from samsung which is 45W. A charging cable that supports adaptive fast charging with a capacity of 45W - 45W TA + 5A cable

B: get a compressed air canister and make sure the port is clean.

C: contact samsung support under a warranty repair

Thanks so much for the reply! Cable and charger are both the above and I wldnt have a clue where to lay hands on a compressed air canister! That wld fall under the heading of DIY to me 😂 fortunately, I love in close proximity to a Samsung Experience Store so I'll call in there and see what they make of it 🙏

If you google "s25 charging issues" you'll find tons of forum chats and news articles about this problem. But like your phone, mine also went insane yesterday! This was the first time it happened, haven't had any problems before. Did not fast charge, kept disconnecting, and did not charge at all even when fast charging was turned off. I have the cable that came with the box, and Samsungs 25w brick. Wireless charging did work. The only way I got the phone to charge yesterday was by connecting it to my computer but when I switched it back to the brick - nothing.  

I tried all the tricks and tips that I could find and nothing worked. However, I don't know how or why, but today this works fine again, no issues with charging.

Exactly same scenario! I plugged it in this morn and it started Fast Charging no problems! Went to top it up about an hour ago before going out for the evening and the problem was back! This time it is recognising the super fast charging but disconnecting after a couple of minutes! I think I'd rather have a permanent problem than an intermittent one, it's the hope that kills...

Niiiiice, I'm waiting when mine blows up again then There seems to be an issue with 5A and 3A cables when using 45W or 25W bricks. As in one combination work while the other does not. Which one, don't have a clue anymore. 3A is apparently the one that came with the box? 🤔 Someone said that that IS the cable that should work, but mine clearly didn't. And the only solution is that Samsung does a software update? I'm gonna call the help service line just in case some day if this continues. Do tell what the shop says if you go and tell them about the issue.

I've just cleared the cache on my USB settings to see if that sorts it but I haven't plucked up the courage to test it yet, I'm building myself up to it 😂
