Camera turns on in a middle of an App

Has anyone else encountered an issue where, while using apps like Google map, Waze, Music or any other app, and after not touching your Samsung S25 Ultra screen for 5-10min, the camera turns on by itself? This keeps happening to me and it's really unexpected.

Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum. 

Try a forced reboot by holding down the volume down key and power button simultaneously for more than 7 seconds to restart it. When your phone resets, you will feel it vibrate.

Hi @krmuddin

Try wipe cache partition of the phone.

Also try settings > apps > camera > storage > clear cache

Also do you have any routines or something set up who might trigger this?

Hi, i have the exact same issue on my s25ultra. Samsung asked me to clear the cache in recovery mode. But i still have the same issue. This weekend i was using waze but i needed to use my car GPS because of the camera app kept opening by itself. So annoying. Samsung asked me now to take control of my s25ultra to take a further look.

Hi, I am so happy that it is not only me. I too have cleared cache in camera app and factory reset but the same issue still appears. I have booked a appointment with Samsung this Saturday, let's see what comes out of that.

Same, i thougt i was the only one... Hope that samsung will fix this with an update.

Hi I just figured something out. On my s24ultra i installed Registar a app from Samsung in Goodlock. In Registar double tap to open the camera was on. It took the settings over to my s25ultra. Maebe the touch of the back is more sensitve now. I disabled it. I believe this will be the reason... do you have Registar on your phone?

OMG if Registar fixes this you are my hero.  This has been so annoying on my S25, mainly happens in the car and I've turned off all the side button stuff, cleared cache, factory reset, et al.  I put a band aid by it by using driving mode and blocking the camera app, but then I keep getting the notification pop up about a device trying to open during driving mode.
