Hi,

My father seems to have accidentally clicked on something, and now the homepage of Samsung Internet on his phone is stuck on a spam website. No matter what I do, I can’t change it back.

I’ve already tried clearing the cache and data of the Samsung Internet app, checked installed apps (including hidden or suspicious ones). but nothing seems to work. The homepage keeps reverting back to the spam site.

Does anyone have a fix for this? Is there a way to completely reset or reinstall Samsung Internet, or is this something deeper like malware?

Thanks in advance!

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Forum

Sorry to hear of your father's issues.

Press down on the Samsung Internet App, click on the i with a circle round it, click on clear cache.

Repeat but this time clear data.

Now open Samsung Internet and click on some. Click on HomePage and select custom.

Choose a default Web page that suits, for example www.google.com or www.bbc.co.uk/news then save this.

Should solve the issue.
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.
