Hi, I would like to share with you one thing I noticed. When listening to music via bluetooth on my buds 2 pro and Galaxy S25 Ultra, the quality of the sound being played is incomparably worse than on the Galaxy S24 Ultra. I would like to point out that in both all settings were turned off. Has anyone else noticed this?
I think this is not a hardware problem but a software problem.

Hello @maszmol

Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum.

I use Samsung Buds² pro and Samsung Buds³ Pro with in the Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra and Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra and personally find them the same in terms of sound.

Of coins there are the different Eq settings etc we'll be using both in the Galaxy Wearable app and in the phone's own settings.

Can you clarify to regards " all the settings were turned off "

And our hearing will be probably different.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I wanted to say that I have never used any corrections and also Dolby. I listen to high-resolution music and I listen to a lot of it. After switching from Galaxy S24 Ultra to Galaxy S25 Ultra, I noticed that the previous model plays much better.

Good morning,

I totally agree with Maszmol. I had a Samsung A52 and using exactly the same sound configuration, A52 quality sound is much better than S25 Ultra. I used bluetooth headphones from Bose and I used widely both phones in my car, and It's unbeliveble how is possible that A52 sound is much better than S25 Ultra. Guys from Samsung, please, could you have a look in this and solve it as soon as possible? We paid too much money to get a disappointing sound like that. For people like us that are driving in a daily basis or using headphones, sound quality is essential!!

I bought an S25 about a month ago and noticed the same thing right away, the Bluetooth audio quality was subpar compared to my old Galaxy S20. I matched the sound settings form my old phone to the new S25 but the sound is still mediocre. Did a Bluetooth settings reset, it did not help.  The most noticeable for me is the voice distortion on podcasts or audiobooks: it sounds like the recoding was done with a microphone far away from the person speaking, it sounds like there is an echo. Music doesn't sound as good as it does on my S20 either.

After being advised by T-Mobile to do a warranty claim, I did and got a replacement phone that has the same issue.

I wonder if the problem is limited to a certain batch of phones, or if it is widespread why aren't more users reporting it?

I thought I was the only one who noticed this. I use my headphones connected via Bluetooth to my S25U a lot now. And I would say that the sound from the S24U sounds much better. Maybe not many people use it enough for it to matter to them. Judging by the posts, most users focus more on the photos. But that's why we're here to report such things and maybe someone will do something about it.

Agreed. Going from an S23 Ultra to the S25 Ultra has been a massive let down, in terms of bluetooth sound quality. I drive a lot for work and am very, very used to my car's premium sound system sounding a certain way. As soon as I played some music from my S25, I knew something was up. I compared EQ settings and phone audio settings between my S23U and my S25U and set everything up the same..  but it's definitely a downgrade in terms of audio quality. For me, the music has lost warmth and bass. It's as if anything under a given Hz is now quieter or more anemic. I immediately went to my cars own EQ and sub control settings to try compensate, but it still doesn't sound right. This has to be a software issue. Please, Samsung, fix this issue. It's so frustrating to upgrade your phone and end up feeling like one of the things you previously loved has received an unintentional downgrade. I read somewhere this might be to improve audio on specific headphones made by Samsung.. if it is, add some settings or controls so we can choose to use them or not. I now have a 17 speaker system in my car that sounds awful.
