I was using my S25 Ultra since it's come out now and I know what apps I have installed obviously. But after the recent updates, I noticed that I had an app called kids installed
Make sure to uninstall this if it's on your phone personally, I won't be using that app just thought I would throw this out to people cause I didn't know it was on my phone until the recent update.
Installed it.

I wouldn't really consider it bloatware, thats the Samsung parental control system. No ads, no payment or anything.

The S series doesn't have any bloatware, just inbuilt samsung apps that give more features to your phone. Some are more useful than others yes, but none of them are harmful to have or will slow your device down.

The A series, yeah those have bloatware, but they're also cheap

Samsung kids as it's known is one of those apps that they like to install on your device without asking your permission first. Samsung is well known to do this type of policy. I don't use it or bother looking at it just another bloatware imposed on us. At least with Google you have the option to remove anything to don't want to cutter up your device.

@ZeroManYT @keith30: While it can be a useful default feature for some, if you would prefer not to have Samsung Kids on your device then please head to Settings > Apps > Samsung Kids > Uninstall (located at the bottom of the screen).

Hi

Never knew about the app until you mentioned it here.

Definitely seems to be part of the parental settings and for parents to hand over their phones for kids to use by making the phone kid friendly.

I wouldn't really count that as bloat and infact I'm sure parents will appreciate the inclusion of the app already available on their phone instead of looking for. one.

If it is easily uninstallable then I dont see a reason for it to be an issue for people who dont won't to use it.

Most of these apps are normally disabled or deep sleeping and dont affect the phones usage in any where.

Having said that. I definitely like an option to uninstall certain apps be they Google or Samsung if its safe to do so ( as most are built into the system and require to work seamlessly with other apps) which I may not the the need of.

App duplication is a problem on Android on general.

Bloatwear weather it is in use or not slows the phone down also takes up storage over time so id consider it to be very sneaky that this was installed without permission

But they don't bloat up your device. That's my point. They don't use up battery and system resources, and they aren't very big. They provide more features to the device. No one is paying Samsung to add them. Bloatware is usually unwanted, paid for by the phone manufacturer, and affects device performance. The inbuilt Samsung stuff is none of that.

Yes, it's there, but it's not harming anything but maybe 50 MB of storage. You can just delete it if you want.

They could embed it within system settings; it wouldn't be an app then, same functionality. That's my point. It's extra, free features that don't negatively impact your device.
