The new Honor phone is about to hit the market with 24GB of RAM, which is way more than an overkill of RAM, it calculates to the combined RAM between the 🍏 max pro and Samsung Ultra 25 🫣
Gonna go back to my good reading companion Techdar, which keeps me reading ever article and sub-article about every phone and leaks to do with design and other bits
Until reading Techdar, I never realised the 🍏 pro/pro max, only used 8GB of RAM, and only possibly moving to 12GB this year.
But some in the community are annoyed that Samsung are still using 12GB 🀷🏽, if you are ever seriously multitasking, open a device care window from settings and check how much available RAM is left with maybe 4 windows open, two open using live streaming, like games and Netflix.
I know y'all know that some of your device storage can get used to help the RAM, so below for some which are scratching their heads, I got Galaxy AI to summarise a page on phone RAM, I suppose it done good, but could be better, but hey, it's for us to teach it, until a terminator appears from nowhere and trys to kill everyone called John 😎😭🦾

"RAM's Importance in AI Smartphones

β€’ Random Access Memory (RAM) is crucial for AI smartphone performance, acting as temporary storage for quick data access.

β€’ Increased RAM is needed to handle the large datasets and processing demands of AI features like Apple Intelligence and Google Gemini.

β€’ While some AI processing uses cloud servers, on-device processing offers benefits like offline functionality, faster response times, and enhanced data privacy.

β€’ Smartphone RAM capacities are increasing; for example, the Google Pixel 9 Pro boasts 16GB, while the iPhone 16 series now features 8GB.

β€’ The amount of RAM needed depends on usage; light users might suffice with 4-6GB, while heavy users or those utilizing AI extensively may require 12GB or more.

The point I am trying to make is, please don't be so quick to put Samsung down, they have obviously tested their phones and found, they can run sufficiently on 12GB. Jumping ship because someone else is offering 16-24GB RAM isn't gonna give you the wow affect you were expecting, you might open up a few more apps multitasking (but seriously, unless you have a Z fold, opening more than maybe 3 on an ultra is pointless).
To also make another point, I opened 5 windows on my Z Fold 6, plus device care, had everything running for 10mins before I took a screenshot, and that includes Netflix in the back, plus I have 2 apps kinda permanently running in the background which I need running, so let's say 7 apps running.
Please see below and check device care and available RAM

Yes I know AI isn't being used, but who's gonna multitask 5 apps with AI 🀷🏽

So please don't hate on Samsung for this issue, 12GB is sufficient, I'm more worried about the Z fold 7 not having Bluetooth S pen capabilities, or just not having a S pen at all, like the Z Fold SE edition πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ€¦πŸ½. Samsung is in the game 🎯 always

Saw this on a YouTube channel-Problem is when Samsung will release S26 or S27 and then they will tell us that some features are not gonna make it to S25 series because the new "amazing " AI features needs more RAM.
Samsung will use the RAM excuse to gatekeep their latest One UI in 1, 2 or 3 year. And many people buy flagship phones to futureproof.

Yea but there AI is still in it infant years, the stuff we use AI for is minimal, compared to what it really, maybe can do.
I think they are future proofing their phones, they are handing out 7yrs of updates, and as time rolls on some of the older phones will not get updates.
There is no way on the face of this earth that I am going to keep my ZF6 for 7yrs, 2 max, and I guess a few people at least upgrade every 1-3yrs, Vodafone offers upgrades yearly plans, my plan with EE is 2yrs.
Plus 7yrs of upgrades gives our phones better selling value πŸ’°, and I really think most phones including the S*Ultras are worth a bit and will go on for ages.

Forget about these 3rd party reviewers they dont even have the confirmation from the company what will be out and what's going to be there etc... like last time the tech radar said the s25ultra will get 6000battery when clearly it didn't and it still has 5000 battery so dont believe these guys...
