Many think the same. I reported this during beta for S24 Ultra but it hasn't changed.

Personally I despise it.

I also reported it during beta, it's a horrible design.

It would look better if it was thinner (same height as the other icons) but then it would be even less accessible, the whole design needs to go, it's not good for looks or accessibility.

Whoever gave it the OK shouldn't be working for Samsung

That's one of the things I'm struggling to change after the update.

Before, I used to have a battery percentage shown only on the unfolded notification bar. I found it comfortable, as I don't like to see it all the time. Unfortunately, this feature also changed after the update.
