I think it's either OIS freaking out or the camera rapidly switching between the 0.6x and 1x lense. Happens mostly when I'm zoomed in and focused and then switch to 0.6x. I haven't tested this very thoroughly but so far I've only noticed this on some low light situations.

What may be related to this is also another bug which is that on close-ups, and especially when in low-light, the camera often uses the 0.6x Ultra wide lens on 1x even with Auto Lens Switching OFF (this setting seems to change literally nothing, don't know if this is fixed in later betas / release that samsung is pushing out now on s24's and later other devices.)

Does anybody else have this same or similar issue right now?

Would this be a software bug or a hardware problem, given that this doesnt happen consistently and depends on environment?

Hello,

Thanks for your message and video. This is most likely a hardware problem.

Sending it in for repair is the best step.

I performed some camera tests. When I switching to 200 mp main, the issue does not arise because there's no other lens that's 200mp. Same when I shoot in Pro mode where the selected lens is forced and does not auto switch.

Furthermore, I don't recall experiencing this issue until recently, likely after the last security patch from march, and I've had this phone since the pre-orders came out.

Since I've seen a lot of others facing the exact same issue on other forums recently I think this must be a software issue.

I'll wait for a few days and see if more info gets published by people. I also submitted a bug report so I'll wait for a response.
