My phone was purchased in England and has always had settings related to England

I recently updated my S24 ultra to one ui 8.

I have a number of issues with my data no longer working which I am working on with Samsung but I wonder if its linked to another issue I have.

When I went into the Samsung app store it thought I was in Hong Kong. Samsung members thought the same. I checked my IP and my gps and they were both correct. My phone was bought in England always registered that way, I do happen to be in USA at the moment.

I did a factory reset and now those two apps think I am in Sweden. Again GPS and IP are both fine.

I dont have any VPNs installed and I am very puzzled by this.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

A couple of things with this. First I'm a bit surprised that the FR didn't help. My suggestion would have been to clear the partition cache, which FR should have done, so that counts that out. My second thing would be, is it causing you issues? Do you still get local results for your searches? Has it prevented you from installing, updating or finding an app in the Galaxy Store? If it isn't causing any issues, is it really a problem? Just something to think about.

I wanted to see what it said about me since I've had erroneous locations in my history but couldn't find my location anywhere in the Galaxy Store app or the Samsung Members app. When I search online Google says you can't directly see your location in these apps. So, where are you seeing these locations. Would you post a screenshot of the page where you're seeing this so we're all looking at the same thing.

I mentioned my own personal experience, where I've seen my device show up in Texas, more than 2000 miles away from my actual location, and this has happened with other devices of mine. So far it hasn't affected me in the everyday of things, and I only see this location thing when I go looking for it. If it weren't for that I doubt would even know. Could it be that you just hadn't noticed prior to the update?

Show us where you're seeing this, be sure to blackout any personal data, and we'll go from there.

I first noticed as I went to update apps in the store and it was in another language. I then went to members to ask for support and wasnt able to do that through the app as it would only offer support for phones purchased in HK. I have used the Samsung app store regularly before the update and didn't have this issue

The main reason I am looking into this is I think it may be linked to a bigger issue which is that my mobile data is not working and my sim thinks I am roaming when its a local sim.
