What's the use for this now?

Since the One UI7 update, when you tap the clock on the lockscreen, it now just shows the clock. So what's the point in this feature now? I wished it still had it's uses but we could customise it more. Such as being able to show widgets from other 3rd party apps.

I suppose its just to turn your phone into a clock/ nightstand timer- or maybe just to prop up when you have a deadline.

As mentioned above have a look at goodlock/ lockstar to customise as you please
