As has been mentioned lots of times, I also wanted to chime in with my disappointment with how washed out everything is. I've heard it's intended, but as someone who works in social media, I can't  trust how the images are going to look on other devices enough when taken with the S24. I've found myself using my old Samsung note20 for portraits and video containing skin tones because the way they show up on my S24 ultra is...bad.

I get they want a more natural look, but it simply doesn't match up to other screen vividness with enough proximity for content to be consistent across devices. With the S24 I don't trust what I'm seeing.

I hope they offer an update!

I am not so disappointed with the picture colours, although I love saturated full of colour pictures more than washed out ones. I was able to change the natural tone to warm tone for the selfie camera. I don't think the colours on the pictures is really bland, but like I said, I'd love them to be a bit more vivid. Also I am happy with the screen, the colours and the refresh rate are great and I am running it at 60 GHZ and low brightness, adaptive colours and dark mode and it's still very sharp and the shapes are distinct. I think jumping from Note 20 Ultra it more the shock to adapt from a curved screen to a flat one but my eyes are getting more used to it now. Also the antiglare screen is a bit unusual for my eyes but I am getting used to it too. I think it's got something to do with the screen composition that makes it different. The camera on this phone is outstanding for me, none of my phones can do what this one does.

Samsung are adding a slider so you can change the vividness to be as bright as Donald Trump's face 😂

The camera is by no means washed out. The colours are even more vibrant than the S23 Ultra from my testing. Picture clarity is better all round.

A variable vividness slider function sounds brilliant @DrMips. As an S23 Ultra owner, I would hope that this feature will trickle down to other Samsung devices, including mine.

I've just used my new s24 ultras camera for the first time it is absolutely rubbish. Every thing looks out of focus. I whish I hadn't sent my note 20 back. I am absolutely disappointed with this phone.

No they are not. Been having the s24 ultra for 10 days now and compared the camera quality with my friend's s23 ultra. Picture quality is atrocious in s24 ultra (in comparison to s23 ultra). I really hope for a major camera update that fixes this otherwise I am off to my one plus open.

I had an S23 Ultra before the S24 Ultra. I've compared them both. The images coming from my S24 Ultra look just as good as my S23 Ultra. You must have a faulty phone.
