Vivid display gone after today's update - UK

Just updated to the latest software pushed out today, installed and restarted now all the colours have dulled down. Even on highest 'vividness' setting. 

Switching between the 3 makes no changes.

Has this happened to anyone else?

After any update it is advisable to wipe phones cache partition

You will need to plug into a working device or pc/laptop.

No, but I have got it back.

Restarted the phone, no joy.

Switched to natural and back to vivid which didn't change the look at all.

Restarted in natural then put back into vivid and it went back how it was before the update.

Very strange but seems fine now

If you switch this off you can manually control the vivid settings, they only appear when you switch off adaptive colour tone

I also noticed this change after latest update. Suddenly went really dull. Changed brightness level a few times and seems to be OK now. Really not happy with this phone. I've never had to change so many setting on any phone than this one.
