The keyboard sucks.

After upgrading from an old S10 using SwiftKey keyboard, to an S24 Ultra I stuck with the native keyboard, mostly for the ai features that was used to sell the phone.

But the keyboard simply sucks. It barely remembers words or word sequences. The auto replace only works on some text boxes, but most of the time it just leaves very clearly misspelled words. When auto replace does work it often picks strange words.

Going from SwiftKey to Samsung I very noticeably spend more time managing the corrections. 

What are other people's experience with the Samsung keyboard?

This samsung phone enters whatever letters and characters it chooses! It takes and eternity to type and send ANYTHING due to its poor responsiveness, nonexistent auto-correct and the fact it keeps changing words that HAVE been (finally) typed correctly. When there is a need to respond quickly, it's impossible to send a message that is understandable by the reader.

Agreed, the Samsung keyboard is not the greatest.  Try the Microsoft Swiftkey keyboard.  It is perfect; so much better.  You will be very happy you installed it.

I've had my standard keyboard for about 6 weeks and found it unreliable. Going to try an alternative
