The camera is not very good

Hey all,

I had an S23 Ultra for about a year and a half but now I got a new S24 Ultra because of the great offers samsung provided. The phone is overall nice however the cameras when compared to the S23 Ultra not very nice especially the telephoto (i guess that's the one that does the following zooming).. 10x 30x & the 100x zoom photos not as clear and vibrant looking as the old phone.. 

Does anybody has the same kinda experience please do let me know.. Every camera setting is same as the S23 ultra except a few however those shouldn't affect the picture quality overall..

S24U is optimising your pics, Use camera assistant (a goodlock plugin, owned by samsung) to adjust settings.

I've got all that, bro... optimising is fine. However, it is not as clear as the S23 Ultra that's the whole point.

Yes, thats because your device is optimising it alot more than your S23U. Try changing these settings (in camera app) or use camera assistant for further options.

It's just because it's a 5x telephoto with a relatively small sensor size. If the sensor was twice as big as the old one and had 20mp, it wouldn't be a problem, in fact would be much better as you'd have 0.6x, 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x and 10x optical or optical quality zoom. But the sensor is barely any bigger, so even if they cropped into the sensor, it will still look much worse. It's just lazy "innovation" from Samsung

5x zoom is way way better defined images over the older S23 Ultra. The older model had awful processing. And what do you expect from a 100x digital zoom?? Sorry but it's always gonna be rubbish

Hence why in switching to iPhone this year, if I'm going to own a phone a phone with little innovation, it at least needs to be polished in every other way

Yeah, it will be rubbish on a phone. However, S24 Ultra's 100x is poor quality compared to S23 Ultra
