S24 ultra issues.

Talk to text does not automatically turn off when you use it to type a message. So when you hit the send button and it sends the message you just talk too texted. It will send and then retype the entire message in the text box like it's a new message. So you have to repeatedly delete whatever's in the text box so you can send another message without resending the one you just sent. Talk to text, also puts periods in the wrong places. And I can't find a dictionary Anywhere on this phone to fix any of the autocorrect words that it keeps incorrectly changing what I say to or type to.

There are several other issues that I've had as well. And one of them is with the YouTube app. And I have uninstalled it reinstalled it updated it everything about it. 's been looked into and I cannot figure out why it keeps doing it. But when the video is playing small at the bottom of the screen. In that little bar at the bottom, you can't tap it to make it big. You have to hit the home button to where YouTube is just playing in that little square on the screen on the Home Screen. Or whatever or whatever screen you're on and then tap it with the little arrows to expand it to make it. Big and sometimes it'll flicker the video at the bottom of the screen. We'll flicker on and off and none of the buttons to make it play will work and a couple of other issues related to that.

The Wi-Fi calling is ***** and even though I have the best internet available in my area and have no issues with it. Otherwise with any other device. My Wi-Fi calling has to be turned off. In order for me to make a phone call in my house. Because I can't even send text messages sometimes. For some reason, but if I turn off the Wi-Fi calling it at least lets me call but it's still sometimes I can't send text messages and it's not a signal issue because my husband has Verizon. As well and he doesn't have this problem with his phone at all.

Additionally, I was under the impression that I would be able to change the background of video calls like you can do with zoom but I have yet to find the feature to do that. So if anybody knows how or if it's not a thing, please let me know. That's a minor thing, though I'm not really overly worried about that. At all, unless there's a way to do it, which would be cool.

I wish that I could put an. S d card in it and it sucks that I can't plug headphones into it.

But I do really like the s. Pen and the coloring app that came on it because it's pretty awesome. And there are some pretty cool features with it. I can appreciate that. I also can't figure out how to use a song that. I said as a ringtone on here. Like I did on my other Galaxy. So yeah, trying to figure that out too.

There are definitely a few bugs and glitches here. That seems like if a little more time would have been spent in testing that they would have been caught and fixed before they rolled out this phone to the public. Most are just minor things but still if you pay this much for a phone, it should be free of bugs and glitches pretty much. I think or at least Samsung should be figuring out how to fix as quickly as possible. Because this was an expensive phone 2. Not even be able to make calls on sometimes. So and also there's a few apps that like to repeatedly close. But that's probably with the app. I don't know i'm gonna uninstall and reinstall and find out if they work better.

Samsung phone's are not alone in the fact that bugs can exist with newly released phone's which is evident on other manufacturers forum sites.

Samsung provide a feedback option in the Samsung Members App for people to highlight issues they are experiencing.

Usually glitches can be resolved via > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too. { Repair Apps may not be availableto the Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Series of phone's. }

And

Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict.

If an app is misbehaving then the developer can usually be contacted via their information in the Playstore.

Samsung regularly send out software and security patch updates to bring stability to their phone's and os.

I totally understand and appreciate your viewpoint here and the frustration your experiencing.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate to ask.  😎

Hi @bpatriotic

The phone needs a few optimisations. It has just around two months in the wild. It is logical that a few bugs will come to light.

Talk to text, if you hide the keyboard before tapping send, then the duplicated text input does not happen. It is a bug that hopefully it will be sorted soon.

Wi-Fi calling works a treat for me. It could be your mobile provider or Internet provider. Put the phone in flight mode, enable Wi-Fi and try making a call. In Wi-Fi calling settings check which is the prefer method, either Wi-Fi or mobile data.

Video calls depends on the app you are using. Check the settings of the relevant app.

SD cards and headphones jacks have been gone for ages and very likely they will not come back. There are alternative phones which still support those features.

I agree with you, the phone should have been released with fewer bugs. It is a premium phone and it should behave like one matching its price tag. However, as said before, it is impossible to test for every single functionality. We all use the phone differently, it is logical that a greater number bugs will come to light.

Clearing cache as suggested by @BandOfBrothers might help with a few problems.

You might also try to post on your local community forum. This the European, UK forum. The local forum might provide solutions closer to your issues. We do not have Verizon here.

I just switched from my iPhone 12 Pro Max to the s22 ultra I will be I was blown away with how fancy this phone looked but as soon as I started using features everything started getting difficult to me the wallet was difficult and then when you are playing YouTube in the car if you try to voice text it won't cancel YouTube fast enough then it will read the last thing YouTube said and by the time you start talking it cuts voice text off because it thinks that it's finished because it said what it heard on the background of YouTube I have to literally pause YouTube and then press voice text then replay when I'm done that defeats the purpose of hands-free like did they not check this s*** before they sent us out with these phones and made Samsung apps and settings primary!
