Hello,

I am curious if anyone has attempted to change the CSC at S24U. If so, and if it was successful, could you please provide me with a guide on how to do it?

Thank you.

@Grzegorz79 we are just giving our opinions on your query.

By all means do what you feel is right as it's your phone.

However you decide to proceed I wish you well.

Unfortunately I won't be able to help you with advice on how to change a phone's csc code.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Mine is EUX as I'm in the UK. If you want to change it then flash the firmware from the Sammobile.com site but that's at your own risk if you know what your doing. Go ahead

Be aware that changing the CSC will invalidate your warranty and there is significant risk of bricking your device with no onward support from Samsung.

As @BandOfBrothers and @keith30 have said, we would recommend not attempting a CSC code change due to the risks and potential loss of your device if bricked as no warranty.

Thing is @Piper123 we've seen so many horror stories of people who have attempted stuff like this and ended up with either an unstable phone or worse a non functioning phone, and then inevitably post asking for a resolution.

Well there is one which is a Samsung Service Centre charging a fee to put the phone back how it was.

Prevention is better than cure.

Just a note to anyone coming across this thread and similar threads.

If your intent on performing procedures like this then do your due diligence beforehand please.

  1. Head over to Settings > System > Tap on Build Number 7 Times.
  2. Then go to System > Developer Options > Enable USB Debugging.
  3. Now open the secret menu by typing in the below code in the dialer:
    *#0*#
  4. Keep this menu open and connect your phone to the PC via USB cable.
  5. Now download and extract the SamFW Tool on your PC.
  6. Then launch it via its EXE file, go to the ADB tab, and click on Change CSC.

  7. The tool will bring up a list of supported CSCs. Click on the box next to Phone Supported CSC.
  8. Now select the CSC that supports call recording [refer to the above section].
  9. Upon selection, you’ll get a Debugging prompt on your device, tap Allow.
  10. Finally, click on Change and wait for a couple of minutes until your device auto-restarts.
