Hello All,
I received and have set up my Samsung S24 Ultra and love it so far. One issue I am having and can't get to the bottom of it is that my notifications seem to go on hault 'til I unlock the phone.
I have played around with notifications within each app and also went into battery settings to ensure these notifications are all in order and are not in 'deep sleep' to no avail. I certainly never had any issues like this on my S23 Ultra. I was just wondering if anyone knows what else I can do or check, or is this a 'known' issue and it will be likely addressed in the next software update?

If all the notifications settings in your phone as well as the app preferences look ok ,and there's no relevant battery saving feature toggled On then perhaps try >
Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files. There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I am connected to WiFi mostly, but it happens at both my home WiFi and work WiFi. i'll test out if it happens with phone data and reply back.

Thanks have checked that and its all as it should be.
It appears that it is only email notifications and one of the email clients is gmail. Text and Whatsapp is not affected. They come through instantly.

So following suggestions I've cleared my cache partition and also tested it on 5g, with WiFi off, but the issue is still there.

If it is a Gmail issue only then, I think that you might need to wait for an app update on Google Play. It is frustrating when one thing does not work and there is no "logical" reason for it.
