Is anyone having trouble getting Google messages to auto fill SMS verification codes?
I've got as far as trying to enable auto fill from
- setting
- Google
- all services
- SMS verification code.

It then asks for a default browser to be selected (which chrome is) but it still won't apply the settings.

I'm running a duel SIM setup with two solid state Sims.

Hi and welcome.

It is possible your dual setup might be messing it up.

It should ideally pick up the messages from your default sim for messages

See if the information below is of any help

Possibly, but I've checked the Google services in the setting as above and it seems to be an issue with not being able to default the browser, even though it is set. 1727436142979.jpg

Why is the second option not ON then?

I don't know, that what I'm trying to figure out.
I've tried swapping between Samsung and chrome as the default browser.
When I open Google services as described in my first post, I can see a default browser is set, but the toggle simply wont stay on.

Hi again.

I would suggest.

If using Google messages, use Google as default browser and Google assistant as assistant
Presuming your passwords are saved in Google browser etc.

Otherwise maybe choose all samsung. Like Samsung messages, browser and bixby.

Maybe there is some clash somewhere.

Also If I remember correctly when I use Google messages ( doing the above ) Google autofills in messages.

With Samsung messages I get to tap it in from a small popup

I get how frustrating it can be when SMS verification doesn’t work. It’s like trying to unlock a door with the wrong key. Have you tried using a different phone or checking your signal? Sometimes, a weak signal can mess things up. If that doesn't help, you might consider using a temp mobile number for verification. There are some reliable services out there that can help with that. Just make sure you choose a reputable one!
Also, give it some time; sometimes, the code just takes a minute to come through. If it still doesn't work, contacting customer support can be a good move.
