Serious Lock Screen Delay After One UI 7 Update on S24 Ultra

Hello,

After updating my Galaxy S24 Ultra to One UI 7, I've noticed a significant delay when locking the screen. The screen takes about a second or more to turn off, which wasn't an issue before the update.

Even after the recent hotfix, released almost a month later, this issue still hasn't been resolved. I'm very disappointed, especially considering that many users have reported this problem — including multiple posts on Reddit and other forums. It's clearly a widespread issue affecting a lot of people.

Yes, I'm aware that switching to QHD+ resolution "fixes" the delay, but I don't consider this a real solution. It's just a workaround that increases battery consumption unnecessarily. We shouldn't have to sacrifice battery life just to avoid UI lag.

Please take this issue seriously and address it in an upcoming update.

Thank you.

Yes, you're right, the delay on FHD+ really exists on the S24 ultra, I just tested it. I normally use QHD+ and I didn't notice the battery draining faster after the update to OneUI 7

I reached out to the support team through the official Samsung Members app on my Galaxy S24 Ultra, and this is the response I received:

“As far as we can see, your device is not certified for Ukraine, but for Latin America. Accordingly, your software is also not Ukrainian. In this case, we do not influence it in any way, and in addition, we do not detect similar problems in Ukrainian models. In this case, we recommend that you contact the support of Latin America and the country in which you purchased the phone.”

Honestly — why should it matter where I purchased the phone?
I’m from Ukraine, and I submitted my request through Samsung’s official app that came preinstalled on the device. I expected global-level support — not a brush-off because the phone was purchased elsewhere.

This is clearly a One UI 7 software issue, affecting many users worldwide (just check Reddit and the Samsung forums). Instead of investigating or forwarding this to the developers, they told me to contact Latin America support — as if this somehow changes the fact that the issue exists.

Samsung is a global brand. Region-locking support is not acceptable for software problems like this.

Please fix this bug and stop ignoring user feedback just because of regional sales policies. 😕

Mine S24 ultra  is from Samsung's website, from my region, and it has the same bug as yours.

If I send feedback, I already know what they will answer me, because for the last 5-6 feedbacks I get the same AI generated answer - to download the Tutor Smart app, so that they can remotely connect to my S24 ultra. Thanks, no, goodbye 😂

Yeah, that sucks!
It’s like they don’t even read what we write and just copy-paste the same generic stuff every time.😅
We deserve better support, honestly.

Still, these are minor bugs, OneUI 7 works better than OneUI 6.1 on the S24 ultra.

Hey, my phone is official for Ukraine and it also has this issue. I haven't been able to record the issue on camera for a proof for members app, but I'll definitely try. This bug among many others which came with OneUI 7 update - is still present even after 3 updates...
