Absolutely gutted that my S24Ultra does not have a strong screen as advertised. Yesterday I accidently left one key 🔑 in my pocket and noticed a visible a scratch on the screen on my S24ULTRA.

Though the scratch is very minor, it still is upsetting 😡

So please invest in a screen protector!

I have never used a screen protector ever in mobile phone user life time as I never scratched the screen.

I have come from a S10Plus and before that all the flagship Galaxy models.

Am so disappointed with the false marketing from Samsung about the screen as well as the camera.

For a £1500 mobile, it should be sold as advertised. Yes, some will argue at this price I should have invested in a screen protector (received Samsung free with phone) but the Samsung marketing stated the screen is strong and durable.

I think I will enquire with trading standards about my rights and false marketing.

I do not want anyone to experience my shock and sadness with quality of the screen. The screen is not durable as advertised. So please invest in a strong screen protector.

Have a blessed 🙌🏻 day 🙏🏻

Ultimately glass is glass and will scratch or break.
I'm surprised that a key would scratch the screen as they are usually a softer material like brass.
You've done very well if you've never scratched a screen before.
Without a protector, I virtually always get scratches. No matter what the marketing says.

The new screens that Corning makes for these high spec phones are definitely more resistant to damage. But they are not immune from being broken or scratched.

It's just the chance you take of not having a protector on.

Like you say, it's a very expensive device, and the first thing I did was put a case and screen protector on.
When I'm at home I will quite often take the case off.
But otherwise it's always got some form of protection on the phone

Keys are made of brass or nickel brass....highly unlikely that a key would scratch the glass unless it was a new steel cut key, with shape edges 🤔

The second item I purchase is a screen protector and then the third is a case when I've chosen the phone @TheDenny

@Glenntech has hit the nail on the head. 👍

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Any damage to the phone is recognised as damage by customer especially anything cosmetically. Live and learn. God bless everyone 🙏🏻
