Samsung Keyboard keeps overriding default keyboard - Gboard or Swiftkey

I just upgraded to the Galaxy S24 Ultra from the S20 Note. I had always previously used Gboard as my default keyboard. Yet on the S24 Ultra, the Samsung Keyboard (which I don't like at all) keeps reappearing despite having set Gboard as my default keyboard. I then downloaded Swiftkey and same issue. Samsung Keyboard keeps reappearing despite having chosen Swiftkey as my default keyboard. I have already tried deleting cache of Samsung Keyboard as well as making sure I have most current version of Samsung Keyboard. I would delete the Samsung Keyboard in a nanosecond if I only could. I have wasted far too much time on this issue. I searched on line and found no solution despite many others having the same problem. Help!!!! Please advise, what am I supposed to do to get rid of the reoccurring Samsung Keyboard???

Can you swipe keys quickly and text with voice using a voice quick shortcut on the samsung keyboard or just crawl around all day with the usual two thumb traditional kiddie way of texting

I think voice texting is much more effortless. Does samsung kb have that? Hell i cant even get the pos to auto space after a word

Yeah the Samung keyboard does have voice texting and is quickly accessible with one tap.

If you think that you have clearly, clearly never truly and extensively tested and compared the two. The only way I can understand your feeling this way is because you don't realize Samsung purposely and constantly tweaks their phones so features of keyboards other than Samsung's own end up having little problems exactly like the one here, where our personal choice to use a different branded & superior keyboard automatically switches back to samsung against our will.

These are signs of monopolistic intention and it's frustrating and disappointing, because the freedom to choose my own software apps is the EXACT #1 reason I choose to be a Samsung customer and NOT  an iPhone user.

I'm sad.

Maybe because samsung keyboard does not support languages that people uses? Translation works only in few languages, has no features like google keyboard, and is not so responsive as google keyboard.

Hi Catt78, don't take me wrong, but your answer does not add any solution to this thread, just an entry more to read and continue:
1) You don't need to understand all need of other users. If we'll need to explain you everything we need, then you aren't a possible help for us.
2) In my case, I use 6 different languages. This could be achieved with Gboard but not with Samsung Keyboard. But I could follow your thinking way and tell: I don't understand why Samsung need to put a limit on the quantity of keyboards. I can assume that switching from one to another will be more complex and maybe the performance would be affected, but it's up to me to take the risk and do what I need.

I figured something out! Go to settings, search for clipboard, and turn alert when clipboard is accessed to off.

It's June 2025, no solution it would appear. I was researching this problem because the copy and paste bubble floats for an annoying amount of time and I noticed sometimes it says 'from Samsung keyboard' although this is not my default.  

Basically are we just railroaded into using all Samsung products or am I thinking too hard about this?

 G board talks with Google and Google knows what my voice says and it does not do what you can very clearly see. It's doing here peri. Don't understand how anybody can say how great the Samsung keyboard is period I can't type anymore. Because I am disabled so I have to use voice. But this is utterly ridiculous when trying to use Dex and voice type.  Period

 I believe that it wouldn't take too much effort to allow you to change the default keyboard to kg board and whatever this stuff is at the end of this sentence. I feel your pain. I'd like to build my own smartphone from the ground up but that's pretty complicated haha.
