Is it just me, or has the "1 app active in background" all of a sudden disappeared?

I'm referring to the long running app syncing in the background message / issue on the S24 series, that was related to the Samsung Email app constantly syncing, over recent months. 

Today there was an update on the Google Play Store - for Samsung Email which seems to have finally fixed it.

Now you mention it, I've not seen it in a while. However, there has been an update to the mail app, so hopefully, that's been fixed.

Which is funny, because it's contrary to what one of our mods said when they asked Samsung about it. Apparently they said it was normal behaviour.

I've just checked the notification catagories for the app. It looks like the synchronisation catagory has been removed.

It seems too, I had a Samsung Email from Google Play Store it was also showing in the Galaxy Store, so I updated my S22ultra and like you have said the Email Sync notications have stopped

Thankfully i no longer need to use an older app version and have auto updares turned off. The latest update has fixed it despite Samsung telling me only last week there is no timescale for the fix.

Only taken best part of 3 months!

Not only has the notification stopped, more importantly it is no longer running in the background permanently (unless you want it to).
