Hi. Yes and No
1. Some S24 ultras have issues with grainy screen and / or banding.
This has been well documented if you check here or just Google for it.
I haven't seen the grain issue on mine but do have the banding issue.
The banding is mostly visible on grey areas for me mostly on YouTube videos where the youtuber has a grey background.
It's annoying Yes.
But it's just the way the new antiglare screen on the s24 ultra is designed.
If you just got the phone and it bothers you maybe see if you can get it changed.
Otherwise it's just an annoyance now and then and may not really count as a defect. ( which it is).
Hope this helps.

It's weird that it didnt bother me at first. Now I notice it all the time especially when watching movies. Seems like it's gotten worse. Even the colours are off. I just turned on the s22u and it's night and day tbh. I've had the phone a few months now, do u think I could still exchange it.

Doubt. You. An exchange if it's been a while. You could always try.
But there is a mixed batch out there, and there is no guarantee you will get a flawless one.
For me besides the annoyance. I do love the screen and it's only affects in certain scenarios.
Try not to use extra dim or go below 15% on brightness and preferably use light mode instead of dark mode and you should be good .
Worst case scenario maybe look at trade in when the s25 series releases.
I guess most people have made peace with these issues.
