My new S24 refuses to connect to my PC via USB. My old S8 would appear automatically in File Explorer (as Phone) whenever I plugged the phone into a USB port. The S24 does not show up at all whenever I plug the phone into a USB port. It's simply not there and I can't find a way to connect to it. What do I need to do to connect the phone to the PC via a USB cable so I can transfer photos?
Thanks in advance,
Rob

I am running Windows 11. Do you have a fix for this?

I've gone back in today to try again. Three different cables in two different slots and still nothing. My phone feels even less connected than a month ago.
It's nice that's there also been zero input from anyone on this thread as well to help either of us as well.

After turning on developer options, and debug mode, I tried using my laptop charging cord which is Dual USB C ended it finally worked on my laptop.

Thank you, exactly the same, after spending so much time trying to figure it out, changed the cable and it picked up the connection automatically

The default USB configuration setting worked for me. My S24 ultra was showing up on my Windows 10 computer but was not showing the folders and files. So I pressed settings, typed in the search box USB SETTINGS scrolled down to the bottom and pressed USB settings, and then under the heading "Use USB for" I clicked on the button to turn on Transferring files / Android Auto. Somehow it had gotten set to charging phone only.
