S24 Ultra zoom

Tried out the zoom on S24 Ultra..

Taken from Withernsea seafront East Yorks looking out towards Westermost Rough Wind Farm aprox 5 miles offshore.

Zoom was around 80%, anymore and it was pretty poor and distorted. Even at 80% it was starting to distort.

What I usually do is take the photo using the 200mp option first , and then pull up the photo in the gallery and them zoom in @Sully2106

I'm no expert when it comes to photography however I do believe that when one uses the zoom direct from the camera degradation begins.

Yeah but optical zoom with the 5x and the 50MP sensor might be better than the 1x and 200MP? I've not compared the two options yet. I think now with the 5x instead of 10x from the S23U, it should be a more useable zoom range for every day scenario.

You need a steady hand ✋️ when zooming in. Ensure you have anti shake function on too
