S24 ULTRA TRADE IN CREDIT

I bought a S25U from AT&T but would really like to get the jet black color that's only available through Samsung. When I select "trade my device" I only see "S24 Ultra" as an option, do you think if I select it and send them my S25U will they be okay with that? technically it's a newer phone obviously? Anyone has a similar experience?

Hi! Welcome to the samsung members community.
Do not do that. They will reject it.
Try return it to AT&T under the cooling off period.
You can't trade in flagships which are new. Either try return or or sell it privately

Yeah you can never trade in the newest phone the only option would be to return it if you can and then buy the one you want direct from Samsung.

Personally this is part of why I buy my phones instead of contracting them, also it often works out cheaper to buy the phone monthly and the just pay for a contract with no phone.

At you are in the US, you would be better off reaching out to your local community as the rules and regulations are very different here in the UK

Best bet if you are still in your cooling off period is to return it and then order from Samsung.

But if you bought it as part of a contract including airtime, that will also be cancelled so may leave you without a phone for a few days and you may have to change your number if you don't buy a sim only deal before it cancels.
